How Far Will You Go For Volume?

Want a lift? How far are you willing to go? How much time do you have?

Here are 3 ways to get more lift ranging from from high commitment methods to low.

1. Crimp it!

When it comes to beauty, Asian ladies are strategic and innovative. My bride, Myha, has straight, silky Asian hair. To get volume she had her roots permanently crimped so when she blow dried her roots she got uber volume. The texture was perfect to create beautiful, voluminous curls.

This method is permanent and for those that have time and are dedicated to their beauty routine, including maintenance as the crimping grows out.

2. Roll it!

The tried and tested  hot rollers cease to fail.  Just apply the rollers to your bangs and crown. It may be tricky at first, but it only gets easier and faster with practice. Within 15 to 20min you’ll have long lasting volume.

The thicker and/or longer your hair is, the more hot rollers you will need. I recommend Conair or Babybliss roller sets.  This method doesn’t involve a commitment, just some time and will.

3. Dust It!

The fastest way to get some oomph,  is to sprinkle or spray a little dry shampoo into your roots, massaging the product into your roots with your fingers, while lifting the roots up.

My favorite dry shampoo is the Dust It by Schwarzkopf. However , if you use too much or don’t massage it into your hair well enough, a whitish film may remain. To combat this issue, Bumble and Bumble developed a line of Hair Powders including blond, brown and black. Kevin Murphy’s Fresh.Hair and Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray are cult faves and amazing as well but your wallet may hurt a bit.
