Sunday April 17th, 2011, marked the 4th Bridalicious event which was a huge success. What is success? Happy brides that are educated, inspired and empowered! It was so much fun, so beautiful and the air was filled with an incredible energy.
Amplified Soul Makeup+Hair Couture, Arora Weddings and Events, CTC West and G+H Photography hosted a ‘Secret Garden,’ inspired afternoon. And I am so proud of our team. The grand, Grand Victorian, was transformed by The Perfect Setting and Nspire Sound filled the air with music for our afternoon tea party, while Film Style Weddings caught it all on film!
The Inspiration Exhibit, a new addition to Bridalicious, was overflowed with beautiful ideas created by talented decorators and dolce experts, inspired by the ‘Secret Garden,’ theme. It was so great to see the different interpretations. With 5 fun and educational workshops on Bridal Beauty, Wedding Planning, Photography, Bridal Wear and Cinematography, Bridalicious was anything but a trade-show. It was an intimate atmosphere with an educational vs.promoting platform.
Riccha Arora and her team led the wedding planning workshop and talked about everything from contracts to favors to seating charts.
Gaurav and his lovely mom from CTC West gave brides the low down on design, material, style and construction.
Garima from G+H Photography (who also shot these lovely images), talked to brides about budget, photography style, questions to ask, themed shoots and introduced brides toengagement shoot wardrobe 101.
Yours truly and Nirisha educated brides on trials, costs, dupatta draping , airbrush, extensions and latest bridal beauty trends.
Jawad from Film Style Weddings explained various technologies and distinguished between videography and the art of cinematography.
Berries and Blooms’ Natasha Manji created a beautiful, elegant , transcendent and fairy tale like Secret Garden theme with candle operas and simple center pieces that made a statement
Sara Baig created an exotic and art inspired vision of the Secret Garden with a punch of color. Combined with intricate vases and ornaments it exuded an area of tradition and sophistication.
Nisha Chandra brought the Secret Garden to life with greens, yellows and beautiful glass table tops with moss underlay, accented by glass dishes and vases. It reminded me of a plush, spring garden party.
Karma Designs created drama with an extravagant centerpiece, candles, crystals and more- it was soooo Bollywood.
A magnificent, all white sweet table was created by The Chocolate Fountain Shoppe, with lots of variety and ideas, topped off with a white chocolate fountain. I was simply in awe.
I loved loved the Dessert Trends cake, reminding me of rouging and opulent, rich layers of fabric, topped with a flower accent. I love the details like the stick, throwing it off center.
Fine Cakes by Zehra went all out with different fabrics, ribbon and feathers.
Piece of Cake by Shivani brought to life the innocence, sweetness and romance of the Secret Garden with pretty pinks, dark pinks, greens and superbly cohesive intricate details. Her cupcakes were to die for!
That wasn’t all! A mini photo shoot took place during the break, where CTC West and Amplified Soul created a romantic and colorful look for a bridal look inspired by the Secret Garden – images to come!
Brides had the opportunity to take pictures in the G+H Photo Booth, try airbrushing and try out outfits during the interactive hour, while mingling with vendors.
